Google shows MORE Love to Linux
Google loves Linux.
They use it to index the world, and manage your photos, and search the globe, and now to search your desktop.
Ubuntu makes solid releases, Google writes powerful software, and Dell sells preloaded PCs. I bet Microsoft never thought their biggest competitor would be a non-profit…

Zap2It labs cancelling free channel data
Zap2It labs - a subsidiary of Tribune Media - is being canceled. Originally a service designed for developers of media applications, will now be stopped starting September 1st due to “certain growing misuses”.
While some may see this as the end for Open Source projects like MythTV and companies like MonolithMC, I don’t expect it to be so. With a community thousands strong, filled with exceptionally talented developers - a solution will be found.
The whole MythTV community is behind me in saying “Thank you” to Tribune Media for the many years of service they provided. We all hope that an agreement can come about between to achieve a fair and workable solution.
I’ll keep you posted.
